Persatuan Sukan Elektronik Malaysia telah setahun ditubuhkan, dan dalam meraikan ia pada tahun ini, mereka turut membuat kejutan dengan pengumuman berkaitan dengan ASEAN Games for Espots (AGES) 2016 yang bakal menawarkan hadiah berjumlah mencapai RM1 juta.
Melalui AGES 2016, ia akan menjadi salah satu pertandingan sukan elektronik terbesar di rantau ini, dan melibatkan peserta dari 7 buah negara – termasuk Singapura, Indonesia, Filipina, Thailand, Vietnam, dan Kemboja, selain daripada Malaysia.
AGES 2016 ini turut menerima sokongan daripada Kementerian Belia dan Sukan, Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia, serta Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi. AGES 2016 ini akan diadakan di Kuala Lumpur.
Pendaftaran untuknya akan dimulakan pada 17 Februari 2016 ini, dan akan memperlihatkan pertandingan dalam permainan DotA 2, CSGO dan juga FIFA 16.
